What We Do

National Coalition Building Institute-Missoula is dedicated to moving individuals, organizations, and communities toward a more just and inclusive society. 

We provide training to reduce prejudice, prevent violence, and resolve conflict, while identifying and implementing strategies to strengthen communities and institutions.  We fulfill our mission in three ways: youth development, community trainings, and organizational consulting. 

NCBI Missoula is a chapter of NCBI-International.

Since 1998, NCBI Missoula has facilitated workshops and provided consultation for numerous organizations, schools, and community groups.  All workshops are presented by NCBI trainers - some trainers are staff, but primarily, they are volunteers. In addition to offering public trainings, our NCBI team can provide leadership, diversity, and conflict resolution workshops that are formatted to meet a group's specific needs.

By focusing on empowerment rather than blame and guilt, we create a safe and supportive climate in which to address real issues. And a training doesn't end with the workshop. We believe in establishing teams of community leaders who take on creative thinking and problem solving together.  Check out our testimonials page.
